1. Event Sponsorship
First 5 Yolo is proud to help sponsor local events, trainings, and activities that focus on young children and families, and that align with First 5 Yolo’s Mission, Strategic Plan, Guiding Principles, and Priority Areas. Sponsorship requests of up to $250 will be considered toward support of the following types of activities that are offered in Yolo County: Community Events, Professional Development/Trainings, Family Education Events, and Fundraising Events.
Starting on July 1,2017, applications may be returned via email to First 5 Yolo, as noted in the policy.
First 5 Yolo Childcare Recovery Package Grants (Applications Closed)
First 5 Yolo is excited to announce funding opportunities available through the Childcare Recovery Package for Yolo County Childcare providers serving Yolo County children ages 0-5. First 5 Yolo has received American Rescue Plan Act Funds from County of Yolo to support Yolo County childcare providers to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide infrastructure supports to increase childcare capacity within the County. The Childcare Recovery Package aims to support childcare providers interested in increasing capacity, support non-active providers return to active status, and to help stabilize the many private providers across Yolo County who have performed as essential workers during the pandemic and remain open currently. Grants and information is as follows:
Infrastructure Grants are available for Licensed, private providers of all types and non-licensed individuals seeking their first license. Infrastructure grants can be used to open new childcare sites, expand existing childcare sites, and/or make modifications so a site can return to full enrollment and/or sustain full enrollment.
Recovery Grants are for Licensed, private providers of all types who have remained open since December 2020 and are currently active. Funds are meant to be flexible and are available for a variety of uses.
First 5 Yolo will accept applications on an ongoing basis through February 1, 2023 or until allocated funds have been expended. Additional information can be found in the following documents:
